We're happy to announce a new integration for our sales CRM, this time with Bedrock Data. Bedrock Data is an an integration and data management platform that allows you to sync Close.io contacts with various marketing, finance, ERP solutions and other platforms. Find out more about how this works in this post by Andrew Emmons.
Business information can change on a daily basis, or even within the blink of an eye. With all of the developments in cloud technology and the importance of tracking data from so many aspects of your business, the process of making sure that your team has the right data at all times can be daunting. From contacts and companies to leads and opportunities, the ideal way to integrate your data is to make sure that your data is being updated across the various systems that your team is using.
For example, a sales rep may update an opportunity stage, or a lead’s phone number in Close.io. When this happens, you want it reflected in your marketing or finance system. While the majority of data integration services require these changes be done manually (when, let’s face it, no one likes to manually import and export data between business apps), with Bedrock Data, it’s done instantly.
When connecting Close.io to Bedrock Data, you can keep your Close.io data updated as it changes in your other systems, in near real-time. Of course, you get to choose which systems you would like to start “communicating” using Bedrock Data (popular integrations include HubSpot, Marketo, MailChimp and others, see the full list here).
A Bedrock Data integration lets you synchronize your information in multiple directions, so that changes occurring within Close.io can be reflected in your marketing, finance, e-commerce, event software, and vice versa.
Businesses who have set up Close.io integrations with Bedrock Data have achieved a seamless flow of data through the sales pipeline, as new leads are first created in Close.io, then qualified and worked as opportunities, all the while syncing data back to their marketing and event campaigns at the appropriate time. Changes made in their marketing system (including analytics data) lead to updates in Close.io as well.
Your sales team works hard to qualify, nurture and close leads. Whether your sales reps are nurturing qualified leads, putting in the effort on cold calls, or working the floor at trade shows, maintaining a single, synchronized database of consistent and current records will help to keep the sales team operating at maximum efficiency. Keeping data at their fingertips through mobile apps and continuous integration features, your reps can perform confidently, closing sales with confidence and efficiency.
The following is just a smidgen of what you can achieve with a Bedrock Data integration:
Perhaps the most basic use case for a Close.io integration with your marketing system is to simply automate the flow of leads from your marketing team to your sales reps. Many marketing applications, especially marketing automation tools, will provide intelligence or analytics data on the leads that are coming through those systems. Bedrock Data ensure that you can keep this data up to date as it changes in your marketing system, helping to keep your reps informed.
If you’re marketing team has automated email campaigns (lead nurturing) running in your marketing system, a Bedrock Data integration will update leads/contacts in your marketing database, and those changes can lead to your marketing leads getting popped into an automated campaign. This means that you can achieve what we call “sales driven marketing automation” and will let your marketing team worry less about whether the right leads are getting nurtured.
We have worked with a number of executives from all size businesses, and here’s the rundown of how we’re helping them achieve true efficiency in their business:
